Meet World-Renowned Pastry Chef, Rory Macdonald
Rory MacDonald was born in London and spent the early days of his career traveling the world. His experience in hospitality and passion for patisserie was developed at high-end restaurants across Europe. Now based in New York City, Chef Rory has had the opportunity to work with Gordon Ramsey and lead restaurant teams to a collective three Michelin Stars. Chef Rory’s new passion project brings him to Columbia, SC to design the menu for the Robinson Room. The menu will feature several gourmet desserts that Rory’s has spent his career perfecting. It will be our pleasure to serve you this fall.
Meet Columbia’s Executive Pastry Chef Mary Sellers
As a child in the mountains of North Carolina, Mary Sellers loved to bake with her mother and grandparents, learning traditional recipes collected from all the places her grandparents had lived. She then attended the Art Institute, where she majored in French Baking and Pastry Arts, leading her to an impressive ten-year restaurant career dedicated to developing her craft. She specializes in French baking and loves to challenge herself with new techniques and ingredients, like creating gluten-free and vegan masterpieces from classic favorites.
